GGSL utilizes a Neighborhood Philosophy for rostering players on teams based upon the geographic distribution of players and coaches in each age group.  In most cases, a girl will be assigned to a team and coach within her neighborhood.

Head coach’s daughter(s) are always assigned to the head coach's team.  Each head coach is allowed to designate up to two (2) assistant coaches. The daughter(s) of designated assistant coaches are assigned to that head coach's team.

A girl may ask to not play for a specific coach or coaches.  All such requests are honored, however your daughter may not be placed on your neighborhood team.

Any special requests to play for a specific coach, to play with friends, to play with car pool members, etc. will not be considered when rosters are determined. Be aware that it may appear that some special requests are honored. Any such occurrences are purely coincidence. Age group commissioners have no information on special requests when they prepare team rosters, only the no play requests.

Late registrants (after Walk-In registration) are not guarneteed to be placed on a neighborhood team and are placed on any open roster.
